27 April PALM VALLEY AND THE RIDGE TO NOWHERE North

Leader: Delma Bennett
Distance: 6.km
Grade: Moderate
Terrain: Bush, tracks and beach
Meeting Point: Cnr. Aragannu Road turnoff on the Tathra/Bermagui Road
Time: 9.30 am
Another great circular walk in Mimosa Rocks National Park up through a lovely palm filled valley to a high ridge overlooking the coast. Our return journey passes through both open woodland and thick rainforest to eventually emerge onto the golden sands of Arragannu Beach. It really is worth the effort.

Surprisingly this walk seems to have been the leechiest of recent years.
On arriving home I found a fat leech on my ankle, - no ticks though, - and no injuries, - a successfull walk!

P.S. good photos

Jan picked up two leaches and a suspected case of chicken pox showed up on Monday morning. If you get scratchy in a week or so, you'll know why.
